Got back from a 3-week trip to Vietnam a few days ago and I think I'm finally getting over the jetlag in time to start my fall quarter back at uni. 4am sleep schedule hasn't changed, so I don't know how commuting to school will turn out since I can't wake up ten minutes before class like when I was dorming on campus, across the street from the engineering building.
We started in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and spent a few days there, getting to know how it was and my mom really got to reminisce her childhood. We even got to go inside the same house that she lived in (Vietnamese people are generally nicer and less suspicious) and took a look around.
Then we started heading central past Phan Tiet to Da Lat and Nha Trang.
This place always reminded me of Tropic Thunder.
Vietnamese Batman?
Then we came back to Saigon and then went down south to My Tho and other areas whose names I am not familiar with...
Down to Phu Quoc island where it rained and stormed the entire time.
Spent the last four days in Soc Giang, living with my great aunt and her family and recut my hair and dyed it (with a barber who knows what kind of style I want!) so I got this Jay Park thing going on (with buzz lines) but the picture doesn't really show it off that well.
Also got handed a new Samsung Galaxy Player from my grandpa to replace my bricked iTouch, so that was great. Only thing is that it makes my choice of a Galaxy Tab obsolete because the Tab is just the bigger form of the Galaxy Player (with a similar Galaxy UI) so I guess I'll be picking up an iPad this Christmas for the painting and the overall being sucked-into-the-Apple-trap-more thing.
